Drive train tune-up

Spring has come and the bike is out and being used again. The bike has about 175 km on it now. I had to readjust the chain so it is tight again. There was a bit of slipage on the chain that was connected to the drive wheel. I also took the drive train casing apart to see how well insides where holding up. It is holding up well. Once the adjustments where made, it rode far better. Climbing smaller hills in the area where done with no slipping of the gear drive train.

The readjustment was done by loosening 4 small bolts on each side of the rear drive assembly. I pulled this down a bit to tighten the final drive chain up. The more I use this bike, the more I like it.

  1. This is all good to know since I too have ordered an A-Bike copy with 8" wheels just like yours (called the Q-Bike)
basically since it was what I could afford. Plus the two of them would fit into my Mini Cooper.

The only caveat is I'm a bit over the weight limit.. 245lbs vs the 185 (though the website says 200lbs (http://www.iq-mall.com/showpage.asp?id=18))

  2. Just had a minor mishap with the bike,, I had put in a seat post (though it was still too high) and a much more comfortable seat which I can fold to keep it compact)
I went from what I thought was pavement to sand covered pavement.. turned out to be just hardpack sand! and went flying over the handlebars and seems I only broke the bell, though i badly injured my chest, leg, nose, and lip. I just need to figure out how to trim/smooth down the seatpost
